About Us

Who We Are

Christ Church of Mercy was founded by Nathaniel Ogedegbe who began with a weekly lunchtime prayer meeting where participants took a brief pause from the busy day to re-center themselves. We are a growing and young congregation of Christians that come together to pray and learn about the Lord’s work through the work of the Holy Spirit and Bible teachings.  We believe in incorporating daily prayer exercises into our daily life routine in order to have a relationship with our Lord Jesus. We as people of God must take prayer as food in order to equip ourselves and others in the word of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in reconciling yourself with God to make room for His blessings.

We invite you to join our fellowship in Christ.

Note from Pastor

I was raised in an environment rich in traditional religion, worship of elemental Gods and  worship of ancestors, divination, prophecy and mainstream Christian and Muslin faiths. My dad was Catholic and my mom was raised Muslim but as an adult converted to Christianity and attended Pentecostal churches. Growing up we attended any and all churches where prayers were offered or vigils were being kept.

During college my soccer teammate and roommate, Adewale Toriola, spoke to me about speaking directly to God. He talked to me about having a personal relationship with God. These conversations were augmented by witnessing the power of prophetic and symbolic dreams which solidified my faith.

As an adult I have followed my Father’s advice to be faithfully prayerful. He told me to “take prayer as food.” Through the sustenance of this daily devotion my faith has grown.

I believe in one infinite God and his name is Jah Jehovah and his Son Father Jesus is his representative on Earth and the Holy Spirit is the one that manifest the work of the Father and the Son to us. I believe the bible is word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit for our Salvation.

I look forward to meeting you, sharing more of my spiritual experience with you and learning about your own spiritual journey.

Stay blessed,

Nathaniel Ogedegbe
